The refractory materials or refractories are heat-resistant materials, that do not decompose by heat, pressure or chemical attacks. Elfusa is today the largest company of Latin America in the Fused Aluminum Oxides sector and Sintex Minerals distributes its refractories in North America and Canada.

AL
AL is a white aluminum oxide obtained from the fusion of calcined alumina in electric arc furnaces. It is recommended for refractory applications where purity, chemical stability and high refractoriness are characteristics to be considered.
ALOCAL
ALOCAL is a brown fused aluminum oxide obtained from the fusion of high quality bauxites in electric arc furnaces. It is heat treated in a rotary kiln at high temperatures and magnetic treated. These procedures guarantee low iron content. ALOCAL is recommended for refractory applications.
ALOTAB
ALOTAB is a brown fused aluminum oxide obtained from the fusion of high purity bauxites in electric arc furnaces. Due to its high content of Al2O3 and low iron content ALOTAB is recommended for refractory applications.
ALP
ALP is a off white fused aluminum oxide obtained from the fusion of calcined alumina and small quantities of chromium oxide in electric arc furnaces. It is recommended for refractory applications where chemical stability and high refractoriness need to be considered.
AR
AR is a brown fused aluminum oxide obtained from the fusion of high purity bauxites in electric arc furnaces. It presents an excellent cost/benefit ratio, being recommended for refractory applications in which iron content is not an issue. AR splits bigger than 2mm are not recommend for molded refractories used at temperatures higher than 1,300 ºC.
Electrocarb - Black Silicon Carbide
ELECTROCARB® Black Silicon Carbide contains some free silicon (Si) and carbon (C) and is not as pure as green SiC. It is ideal for a wide variety of applications including bonded and specialty refractories, metal-matrix composites, kiln furniture, and many more.
Electrocarb - Black Silicon Carbide - CR Fines
C.R. FINES - Black Silicon Carbide DCF is collected from the dust collector systems connected to the crushing and grading systems of our #1 grade silicon carbide. It is ideal for general refractory applications.
Green Silicon Carbide
Green Silicon Carbide is extremely pure. It can be manufactured into many complex bonded shapes for many applications including wear resistant seals/rings/nozzles, coatings, metal-matrix composites, kiln furniture, silicon carbide heating elements, body & vehicle armor, and many other applications.
Green Silicon Carbide - Fines
Green Silicon Carbide Fines is a high purity submicron for ceramic applications. It can be manufactured into many complex bonded shapes for many applications including wear resistant seals/rings/nozzles, coatings, metal-matrix composites, kiln furniture, silicon carbide heating elements, body & vehicle armor, and many other applications.
MAE-26
PRODUCT UNDER CONSULTATION - MAE-26 is a fused Alumina-Magnesia Spinel obtained the from fusion of alumina and magnesia in a electric arc furnace. It presents high chemical stability due to its macro crystals. MAE-26 is recommended for refractory applications.
MUB
MUB is a fused mullite obtained from fusion of high purity sand and alumina in an electric arc furnaces. It presents low thermal expansion and high thermal shock resistance that make MUB an excellent material for investment casting and other refractory applications.
MUBS
MUBS is a product obtained by the fusion of quartz and alumina in an electric arc furnace. Purity is slightly lower than the MUB, it also has low thermal expansion and high thermal shock resistance, which makes MUBS an excellent material for investment casting and other refractory applications.
MUW
MUW is a fused mullite obtained from fusion of high quartz and alumina in an electric arc furnaces. It presents low thermal expansion and high thermal shock resistance that make MUW an excellent material for investment casting and other refractory applications.
